Abstract

1399996 Dispensing devices SOC PERNOD 30 Jan 1973 [22 Feb 1972] 4571/73 Heading B8S A stack of articles is housed in the shoot 1 of a dispenser having a bottom closure element 3 provided with an upturned portion 5 which supports the penultimate article 2b of the stack when the closure element is pivoted downwardly to release the lowermost article 2c; and the uppermost article 2a is engaged by a pivotal member 11 carried by a slide 7 engaged in a slot (6, Fig. 3) in the side of the shoot 1, the member 11 preventing the closure element 3 from pivoting when the shoot is empty. As the stack is depleted a part 18 of the member 11 engages the shoot so that the member pivots until a portion 12 thereof engages the article 2a and hooks 14 thereon project through the slot (6). When the shoot is empty the hooks 14 engage over an out-turned part of the shoot 1 whilst the member 11 engages the upturned portion 5.
