Abstract

1399892 Soldering fluxes CREUSOT-LOIRE 12 June 1972 27433/72 Heading C7M A non corrosive solder flux for steels, stainless steels and alloys comprises an emulsion or mixture of ammonium phosphate and ammonium fluoride, in water or alcohol or other organic liquid. The flux preferably contains in wt per cent 10-90 ammonium phosphate, 0.5-15 ammonium fluoride and up to 90 resin. At least one of the phosphates of Sn, Pb, Zn, In, Cd, Ag, Ni, Co, Cu, Sb and Bi e.g. 10-40% may also be included. The phosphates and fluoride may be added as such or prepared in situ by reaction of ammonia, HF, orthophosphoric acid and the appropriate metal or metal salt.
