Abstract

1399715 Boring earth &c TEXACO DEVELOPMENT CORP 10 June 1972 27223/72 Heading E1F In a drilling platform 10 guides 27, 28, 29, 31 are arranged to hold a conductor pipe 23 in a bent condition to permit the directional drilling of an underwater well. The guides 28, 29, 31 have conical inlets at their upper ends and rollers adjacent the outlets at their lower ends. The platform supports a number of bent conductors and the rotary drilling apparatus 18, 19, 21 may be moved on the platform deck 11 to drill holes using each of the conductors.
