Abstract

1399556 Zirconia glass PILKINGTON BROS Ltd 30 Nov 1973 [19 Dec 1972] 58613/72 Heading C1M A glass composition comprises, to an extent of at least 94%, in weight per cent the balance, if any, consisting of other compatible constituents. The balance may comprise up to 5% of each of TiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , B 2 O 3 , Fe 2 O 3 , F 2 and M 2 O, where M is Li, Na or K. The glass, which may be used in forming fibres, is highly alkali-resistant.
