Abstract
1399102 Carrier bags BRITISH VISQUEEN Ltd 11 Aug 1972 [27 Aug 1971 10 April 1972] 40272/71 and 16398/72 Heading A4G [Also in Divisions B5 B8 and C3] A carrier bag, or non-slip sack, is made from an extruded laminate (see Division B4-5) comprising an unfomed plastics layer fused to a plastics layer foamed by water as a foaming agent. The cavities of the foam may extend as holes throughout the foamed layer to produce decorative effects when the unfoamed layer is of a different colour e.g. for carrier bags. The laminate may comprise two layers, or a foam layer intermediate unfoamed layers. The layers may comprise the same, or different plastics e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, or copolymers of ethylene or propylene with another olefine or with vinyl acetate or methyl methacrylate. The examples relate to two layer laminates, each comprising polyethylene of 0À92 specific gravity.
