Abstract

1397006 Cleaning conveyer carriers GREINER ELECTRONIC AG 13 June 1973 [14 June 1972] 28201/73 Heading B8A A conveyer 2 has a number of attached containers 1 which are washed by a head 7. The head 7 has an inner part 17 which makes contact with the inside face 4 of the inverted container 1 along beads 18 leaving a small clearance over the rest of the surface, and another wall 12, 13 which makes contact with the outside of the container 1 along beads 16 also leaving a small clearance over the rest of the surface. The core 19 of the head 7 terminates in an open upper end and is connected to a pipe 20. The head also has two walls 12a and 13a with some resilience outwards. Each wall has a slot 32 connected to a pipe 30 via a conduit 28 and a tube 29, also perforations 24 connected to a pipe 26 via a conduit 23 and a tube 25. In use,- the container 1 is inverted on to the head 7 to rest on beads 11 (Fig. 7). Valves 21 and 27 are then opened to allow washing liquid to pass from the pressurized source 8 via the gaps between the container and the head to the suction draw-off means 9. Finally the container 1 is dried by closing the valves 21 and 27 and opening the valve 31 so that the suction means 9 removes the moisture, firstly as drops and secondly as water vapour.
