Abstract

1396886 Electroconductive paper ALLIED COLLOIDS LTD 16 May 1972 [19 May 1971] 15796/71 Heading D2B [Also in Division C3] Paper is made electrically conductive by coating or impregnating with a composition comprising a crosslinked polymer formed from a polymer in which at least 70% of the recurring units have the formula wherein R 1 is H or CH 3 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 , which may be the same or different, are C 1-4 alkyl, and X is Cl or Br, and which also includes methylolated acrylamide or methylacrylamide units. The paper may be immersed in an aqueous solution of the uncrosslinked polymer and dried and cured to form the crosslinked polymer by heating on heated rolls.
