Method for obtaining isolated electrical conductors, comprising the steps of: forming an aqueous slurry of wood pulp fibers, adding to this slurry a dispersing agent, adding to said slurry polyolefin fibers having a dispersing finish, adding to the resulting composition a binder, so that the proportions by weight, except for water, of the wood pulp fibers, the polyolefin fibers and the binder are respectively 10% to 30%, 70% to 50% and 10% at 25%, form with this composition an insulating coating on the conductors, polish the conductors thus coated, and dry the polished conductors in an oven.
