Abstract

139,602. Koressios, T. N. C. Feb. 26, 1919. Centrifugal governors; transmitting-mechanism. -A centrifugal governor designed especially for use with the devices described in Specification 131,111 comprises four balls a which, on rotation, rise in inclined tubes b and raise a disk 7 by means of cruciform arms c attached thereto. The disk 7, in rising, closes various electric circuits in succession by means of contacts 11, 11', 12, 12<1>, 13. Corresponding to each of these contacts is a separate loading-spring or set of springs which come into action successively. The helical spring m is first compressed, and thereafter pairs of springs such as k, k<11>, Fig. 4, engaged by arms e<11>, e<111> attached to the disk 7 between the arms c. Another pair of arms, with two other pairs of springs, is arranged at right-angles to the arms e<11>, e<111>.
