1394958 Enamelling metal pipes EISENWERKE KAISERSLAUTERN GmbH 6 Dec 1973 [30 Dec 1972] 56573/73 Heading C1M In a method of enamelling the interior of a metal pipe having a helical sheet metal coil on its outer surface, the spaces delimited by the outer surface and the coil are filled with a material, e.g. moulding sand, capable of withstanding the heat of the enamelling process. A device for carrying out the method includes a tube 6 whose inner diameter corresponds to the external diameter of the coil 2 and supported on a mounting 10, a mouthpiece 12 for supplying hot flue gases to the interior of the pipe, and a outlet 14 for gases located at the other end of the pipe. A temperature range of 830‹ C. to 900‹ C. is referred to.
