1394734 Purification of calcium sulphate UNIE VAN KUNSTMESTFABRIEKEN BV 25 April 1973 [26 April 1972] 19489/72 Heading C1A Waste product calcium sulphate is purified to decrease its radioactivity by classification according to particle size by using a hydrocyclone or curved screening deck and monitoring the radioactivity of the feed and various fractions, and removing the finer fraction or fractions, whereby the contaminants and also radioactivity, concentrated in the smaller particles are also removed. The waste calcium sulphate is preferably in aqueous suspension.
