Abstract

1394275 Steel reinforcing cords INDUSTRIE PIRELLI SpA 3 May 1972 [18 May 1971] 20467/72 Heading D1T A steel cord, used as reinforcement for rubber articles such as pneumatic tyres, comprises one strand formed by at least two single wires helically wound together, and at least one wire or tape helically wound about the strand, the winding pitch of the or each wire or tape having a value of from 38% to 47%, and preferably 40% to 45%, of the stranding pitch of the central strand. The strand pitch may vary from 9.5% to 14 mm.
