Abstract

1394213 Revaporizing gases; vapourizers K B BROOKES 24 May 1972 [26 Feb 1971] 5622/71 Headings F4P and F4T Apparatus for revaporizing liquefied petroleum gases, e.g. butane or propane, comprises a tubular vessel 1A having a liquefied gas inlet 2A and a vaporized gas outlet 5A, the vessel having a tubular recess (not shown) housing a heater 14. As shown, the heater is a gas burner 17 which is fuelled by vaporized gas supplied via a pressure regulator 26, a thermo-electric valve 27 controlled by a thermocouple 18, and a solenoid valve 28, controlled through a switched junction box 29 by a thermostat 31. The burner 17 is provided with a smoke box 15 and chimney 16. The opening of inlet 2A is controlled by a float 22 controlling a switch 21. In another embodiment the heater comprises a plurality of electrical heating elements located in individual tubular recesses within the vessel, Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown).
