Abstract

1393716 Fastening elements YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 18 May 1972 [30 Dec 1971] 23490/72 Heading E2S Each stringer tape 11, 12 of a sliding clasp fastener carries a row of fastening elements formed by a continuous helical coil whose loops are each in an 1-shape, when viewed from above, defining a coupling head 13, two arms 14, 15 and bights 16 which are spaced apart. Each coil is sewn to a respective tape and the stitches pass though a cord 17 threaded through the loops. The cross sectional height of each loop B less than one half its width and the cord 17 is arranged so that a space exists between it and the coupling heads 13 and it comes into contact with the coupling heads of the other tape when the fastener is closed.
