Abstract

1393464 Tractor counterweights MASSEYFERGUSON Inc 5 May 1972 [7 May 1971] 20940/72 Heading B7H [Also in Division E1] A vehicle counterweight assembly includes a weight 20 and a support member 16 and a clamping device 34 which are adapted to be fixed to the vehicle, the centre of gravity of the weight being forward of a support lip 30 when the assembly is in use. The lip 30 and a notch 50 on the weight respectively engage the member 16 and a locking flange 54 of a clamping member 36. A further clamping member 38 has wedging surfaces 56, 60 which engage wedging surfaces 48, 58 respectively on the weight and clamping member 36. A nut 42 and bolt 40 mounting the clamping device on the tractor is adjustable to effect clamping of the weight. The weight is provided with an opening 60 for lifting.
