Abstract

1393171 Protecting plants BAYER AG 30 March 1972 [3 April 1971] 15029/72 Heading A1E [Also in Division Cl] Plants, particularly fruit trees and vines, are protected against frost by applying to their stems, by spraying, rolling, or brushing, an aqueous dispersion of a film-forming polymer, the dispersion also containing a white filler or pigment. The film-forming polymer may be a copolymer of styrene, acrylic acid n-butyl ester, and acrylic acid, or a polyurethane dispersion. As white pigment the dispersion may contain lime and/or titanium dioxide, or barium sulphate/zinc sulphide. The dispersions may also contain fungicides, insecticides, or animal repellents.
