1392940 Trailer vehicles CRAVENS HOMALLOY (SHEFFIELD) Ltd 23 Nov 1972 [1 Dec 1971] 55780/71 Heading B7B A road vehicle trailer comprises a pair of upstanding side members 14 connected to the opposite ends of cross members 12, and has a a pair of bearer members 16 having a load carrying portion 20 for supporting the ends of transverse floor boards 18, the portion 20 of at least one of the bearer members 16 being spaced from the respective side member 14 to form a cavity 22 through which the service distribution means, such as an electric harness 26 and a hydraulic or pneumatic conduit 24 extend. In a preferred embodiment the bearer members 16 have upstanding portions 28 which serve as attachment points for inner skins of double side walls 30. A further portion 32 of each bearer member receives the lower ends of spaced vertical channel members 34 to which the inner and outer skins of that side wall are attached.
