Abstract

1392800 Trench excavators MACHINEPABRIEK D BARTH & Zn BV 17 Oct 1973 [9 May 1973] 48372/73 Heading E1F To allow of control of the cut depth of a drainage trench at least part of the cutting tool 14 of the apparatus forming the trench is pivotable with respect to the means 3 supporting it from a vehicle about a horizontal axis, e.g. axis 24, adjacent the sharp tip 16 of the cutting tool, which comprises spaced planar side members 17 embracing the support means 3 and an upwardly and rearwardly extending front member 20 spanning the spacing between the similarly inclined leading edges of the side members. The entire tool, or the tip, or the tip less remainder of the tool may be pivoted about said axis. Preferably the support means may be an L-shaped member supported from the vehicle by a parallelogram linkage.
