1392576 Swimming aid G C PHILLIPS (COVENTRY) Ltd 22 Feb 1973 8617/73 Heading A6D A swimming aid comprises a flat or curved paddle member 10 with attachment means 15, 16 for attaching the paddle to portions of the hand. In one embodiment, as shown, the paddle is a flat, rectangular plate of plastics but it may also be curved (Fig. 2 not shown) or flat with curved edges (17) (Fig. 3 not shown). The attachment means comprises tubular elongate members, 15 for the wrist and 16 for the finger(s), of rubber and are of greater diameters than those of holes 13, 14 in the plate 10. The plate lies against the palm of the hand and the rubber members 15, 16 may be tightened by pulling their free ends further through the holes. The plate may be flexible or have separate hinged sections.
