1391367 Recreational surface coverings R H MOSHER [trading as R M ASSOCIATES] 21 Aug 1972 [7 Sept 1971] 38943/72 Heading A6D [Also in Division E1] A surface covering comprises a plurality of irregular, thin, curved, peripherally irregular thermoplastics platelets, each having a maximum dimension of between “ of an inch and 2 inches. Such a covering is preferably prepared by scattering the remains of comminuted plastics bottles on the surface, but other comminuted plastics material or specially moulded platelets may be used. The peripheral irregularities serve to mechanically interlock the platelets to prevent shifting of the covering. Although primarily intended as artificial snow the covering may be used on wet or muddy roads or the like.
