Abstract

1391340 Logic circuits MICROSYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL Ltd 22 March 1972 [30 Sept 1971] 13308/72 Heading H3T A logic circuit comprises three M.I.S. fieldeffect transistors 10, 11, 12 connected together and to alternate non-overlapping clock supplies #-1, #-2, substantially as shown. In operation, when #1 is negative, transistor 12 is non- conducting and transistor 11 transmits the input signal to capacitor C, the residual charge on the right hand plate of the capacitor being discharged through transistor 10. When #1 is zero #2 is negative, the output terminal is pulled upwards and capacitor C carries the gate of transistor with it but the threshold potential above the output potential so that the output terminal goes to the #2 negative level. Transistor 12 acts as a "pull down" load transistor. Two such circuits may be arranged in parallel or in series to form respectively an AND circuit or OR circuit with a common transistor corresponding to transistor 12 (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown). Alternatively, a series of such circuits may be arranged to form a shift register, alternate stages being operated in opposite phase.
