Abstract

1391191 Granulating drum W LODIGE F LODIGE and J LUCKE 14 April 1972 [15 April 1971] 17226/72 Heading B5A A granulating apparatus comprises a drum 1, Fig. 1 and a centrally located shaft 11 from which extend radial arms 4 carrying wedgeshaped tools 5 each comprising side plates 13, Fig. 3, and a cover-plate 14. The radially outer surfaces of the side plates are curved to the curvatuve of the drum. Slurry to be granulated is delivered through the inlet 10 via a feeder screw 15 and the drum and/or the shaft 11 are rotated. Granulate is collected from the outlet end of the drum.
