Abstract

1389167 Illuminating arrangements HOECHST AG 15 March 1973 [15 March 1972] 12435/73 Heading F4R An arrangement for providing an illuminated work zone in uncontaminated air comprises a laminar air flow unit, 12, 6, 11 and lighting equipment including a light source 8 located outside the work zone and a deviating means 7 located within the zone, the arrangement avoiding convection currents caused by the heated light source. The work zone may be an operating table, the light from the source passing through an aperture 10 in one of the flow limitations 11 to the means 7, which may comprise at least one mirror, prism or light conducting cable. In an alternative embodiment (not shown) the air flow may be horizontal, the source being located downstream of the work zone.
