Abstract

1388572 Spring wheels DIMO HOLDINGS Ltd 15 Jan 1973 [26 Jan 1972] 3574/72 Heading B7C A metal, e.g. aluminium wheel is provided with an annular chamber 7 which permits radial displacement of rim 4 relative to hub 1. The chamber may be closed or may be open to the interior of a tubeless tyre fitted on the rim either via bleed holes or via holes permitting free flow of air. As illustrated a tyre is fitted on the rim by removing part 2b from its wheel, applying the tyre to part 2a and securing the two parts 2a, 2b by bolts 5. The wheel may be formed by die-casting.
