1387875 Sacrificial anodes SWISS ALUMINIUM Ltd 26 April 1972 [27 April 1971] 19461/72 Heading C7E A sacrificial anode consists of an anode carrier of steel surrounded by a diffusion zone of Al diffused into the steel, in turn surrounded by a body of Al or Al-based alloy, the body being cast with a porous structure, the pores being of a fineness such that water will enter the pores and this water will then prevent entry of oil into the pores, the diffusion zone being united with the carrier and the body, the zone and its unions with the carrier and the body being free of splits and hair cracks.
