Abstract
1387796 Removal of cos from gas streams CALGON CORP 16 April 1973 [24 April 1972] 18262/73 Heading ClA Carbonyl sulphide is removed from a gas stream containing CO 2 by passage through a bed of activated carbon impregnated with from 1 to 50 wt. per cent of anhydrous monoethanolamine. The absorption bed may be operated at normal operating pressures and may be regenerated by exposure to monoethanolamine. If desired the bed may be steam stripped or purged with hot nitrogen prior to re-impregnation with monoethanolamine. The process may be carried out cyclically.
