Abstract

1387133 Mixing in conduits A FISCHER 18 May 1972 [2 June 1971 4 Aug 1971] 23374/ 72 Heading B1C. A device for mixing and applying a resin adhesive having more than one component includes an expendable nozzle 1 with a plurality of inlet channels 3 a mixing zone 4 and a single outlet 5; the components are contained in reservoirs 6a, 6b consisting of collapsible tubes wrapped up by a common key 11. There may be baffles (not depicted) in the mixing zone to promote mixing and the cross-sections of the reservoirs may be proportional to the desired proportions of the components in the adhesive. The nozzle may have parallel inlets or be frusto conical, or cylindrical with one inlet in the end and another in the side (see Fig. 3, not shown). For Figures see next column
