Abstract

1386253 Bearings VANDERVELL PRODUCTS Ltd 24 May 1973 [24 May 1972] 24537/72 Addition to 1297559 Heading F2A A flanged half bearing has a thin wall flexible half bearing lines 10 with a radially outwardly extending flange or flanges 12 attached at at least one end of the lines by means which allow the circumferential shape of the lines to vary relative to the flange, the inner circumferential edge of the or each flanged end of the bearing having a curved profile 15 as viewed in crosssection through the bearing axis. The flanges are fixed to the lines by lugs 13 located in slots 11 in the'lines. The curved profile is preferably formed by cutting after the flanges have been fixed to the lines.
