Abstract

1385514 Break spinning; openers VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY 20 March 1972 [24 March 1971] 37722/74 Divided out of 1385513 Headings DID and D1N A break spinning unit comprises a dirt receptacle 22 opening into a recess in a body housing the fibre-opening roller 5 and collecting the impurities centrifugally thrown from the separating roller, and an air pump for sucking impurities from the receptacle 22. The air pump comprises an air ejection pipe 28 which removes air from the break spinning unit and which creates sub-atmospheric pressure in a suction pipe 29 connected to the receptacle 22. The dirt collecting receptacle may be surrounded by a casing connected to a pressure pipe 33 which blows air through bores in the wall of the receptacle to assist in removal of the dirt. An interrupter 29A may be provided in pipe 29 to provide periodic removal of the dirt.
