Abstract

1384841 Drying vehicles E FISCHER [trading as GEORG FISCHER KG] 20 March 1973 [22 April 1972] 13383/73 Heading F4G A device for drying vehicles comprises a movable or stationary gantry 1, a nozzle 2 movable upwardly or downwardly on gantry 1 by means of guide beams 9 and linked by flexible air hoses 4 to tangentially directed exhaust apertures 10 of a fan 3, the fan housings being rotatably arranged on the gantry and coupled to the nozzle 2 so that when the latter moves upwardly the fan housings rotate in guide rails 8 horizontally outwardly of the gantry, and when the nozzle moves downwardly the fan housings rotate horizontally inwardly. As shown two fan housings are provided each coupled to the nozzle 2 through coupling rods 5 and ball joints 6. Alternatively, if the hoses 4 transmit tension and compression longitudinally thereof rods 5 are omitted. A counterweight may be connected to the nozzle 2 or fan housing to rotate the fan.
