Abstract
1383996 Triazole derivatives CIBA-GEIGY AG 18 Jan 1972 [19 Jan 1971 22 Oct 1971 19 Nov 1971] 2385/72 Headings C2P and C2C Novel compounds of Formula I where X is Cl in the para or meta position may be prepared by reacting 1-(3- or 4-chlorophenyl)- 3-hydroxy-5-methyl-1,2,4-triazole or a salt thereof with 0,0-diethylthionophosphorochloridate or bromidate. The triazoles used as starting materials may be prepared by reacting 1-(3- or 4-chlorophenyl) semicarbazide with orthoacetic acid triethyl ester or by acylating and subsequently cyclizing such a semicarbazide. The compounds of Formula I have insecticidal and acaricidal properties and may be used as the active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions. The invention also includes a container comprising a compound of Formula I and bearing instructions for its use as a pesticide.
