1383691 Indexing table for broach teeth DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 26 March 1973 [24 March 1972] 14073/72 Heading G1M An indexing table for checking the profile of teeth of, for example, a broach, comprises a circular rotatably mounted plate 9 the periphery of which is equally divided into a plurality of slots corresponding the number of teeth on a cutter to be tested, including means, key 11 for securing the cutter to the circular plate with the cutter teeth in alignment with the slots thereof and plunger means 4 engageable with the slots to retain the circular plate in a plurality of fixed positions. The plate and a broach are held on spigot 10 by a ring 3 screwed on the spigot. The plunger is biased by a spring 6 but can be locked in a rearward position in housing 5 by a lever 7, which is connected to the plunger, engaging in a cross slot in a bracket 8. In use the indexing table is mounted on a projection measuring machine.
