Improvements in error detectors for a pseudo-statistical sequence of digits, characterized in that the detector comprises means that respond to said sequence of digits to generate a repeated sequence of digits, means to compare corresponding digits of the repeated sequence with those of said pseudo-statistical sequence to deriving the indicated error digits when anti-coincidence is detected between said sequences, means that respond to the true error digits to generate repeated error digits, and means to compare said indicated error digits with the repeated error digits and derive the digits of True errors when mismatch is detected between the indicated and repeated error digits.
