Abstract

1383626 Mounting reels on shafts AGFAGEVAERT AG 25 April 1973 [25 April 1972] 19643/73 Heading F2U Apparatus for winding tape &c. on to cores 2 comprises a rotatable shaft 1 having a plurality of core mounting sleeves 2a each capable of independent rotation relative to the shaft, and having a separate frictional drive (e.g. a slip disc clutch 7a ... 8b) with an adjustable limiting torque. As shown the clutch discs 7a ... 8b are loaded by a spring 9 reacting against a plate 10 adjustable axially along a collar 12. The collar 12, together with those of other sleeves 2a is connected by (e.g. six) wires to a sleeve movable axially by a fork 14 acting via an axial thrust bearing 13. Each core 2 may be axially located by a pair of levers 5 pivoted at 19. The levers 5 may be pivoted so that end surfaces 21 are retracted either by a core passing from left to right, or by a fork 16 axially moving cores 17 on a common rod.
