Abstract
1383274 Pile wire looms FONDERIES ET ATELIERS MICHEL VANDEWIELE SA 30 April 1973 [9 Nov 1972] 20343/73 Heading D1E A pile wire loom has a mechanism which enables the rate of pile wire insertion to be varied or discontinued. A motor 5 drives a shaft 8, gears 11, 12, 14 and a shaft 15 connected to the main shaft of the loom. The shaft 8 has a gear 24 driving an auxiliary shaft 25 having slidable thereon gears 26, 27 which may mesh respectively with gears 34, 35 on a shaft 23 to provide alternative speeds of the shaft 23, or the gears 26, 27 may be located between the gears 34, 35 so that the shaft 23 is not driven. The end 50 of the shaft 23 drives a linkage 51 to 59 which pivots a pile wire guide 60 and the end 36 drives a gear mechanism which reciprocates the pile wire insertion block 18.
