Abstract

1383204 Active filters GENERAL ELECTRIC CO Ltd 29 March 1972 [16 April 1971] 9657/71 Headings H3T and H3U An active filter comprises an R-C T network connected between output and input of an amplifier substantially as shown. If terminal 5 or 6 is earthed and the input signal is applied via the other to the non-inverting input of the amplifier, the circuit acts as a high-pass or lowpass filter respectively. An additional capacitor may be connected between terminals 5 and 13 and an additional resistor between 6 and 15 (Fig. 1, 3 and 4, not shown) in which case the filter may have a rejection notch. Two of the low-pass filters can be connected in cascade and an additional R-C network added to form a 5th order filter. The amplifier may be an integrated unity gain circuit with negative feedback.
