1382699 Amino esters SYNTHELABO 28 Sept 1972 [30 Sept 1971] 44878/72 Heading C2C Novel compounds I (in which X and Y are α-naphthyl, #-naphthyl, #-(3,4-dihydronaphthyl), α- or #-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthyl), α-decahydronaphthyl, 2- or 6- (1,4 - benzodioxanyl), 1 - (3,4' - dimethoxyphenyl), α-tetrahydrofuryl, α-thienyl, 2-methyl- α-thienyl, α-tetrahydrothienyl, or 3-indenyl; and R is (1 - methyl - pyrrolidin - 2 - yl)methyl, pyridin- 3 - yl - methyl, or # - (4 - methylpiperazino)- ethyl; with the proviso that when X is α- naphthyl, α-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthyl) or #- naphthyl and Y is α-tetrahydrofuryl then R is pyrid-3-ylmethyl or (1-methylpyrrolidin-2-yl)- methyl) and their acid addition salts are prepared by reaction of the appropriate acid with the alcohol ROH. Pharmaceutical compositions having vasodilator properties comprise a compound I together with a suitable excipient and are administered orally or parenterally.
