Abstract

1381834 Ink ribbon mechanism WALTHER B ROMASCHINEN GmbH 1 Oct 1973 [6 Oct 1972] 45842/73 Heading B6F Ink ribbon reversing mechanism comprises a post 5 around which ribbon passes, the post being fixed to one arm of a bell crank 4, so that when the ribbon is tensioned at its expiry a pawl 11 on the bell crank steps a ratchet wheel 12 fixed to a cam disc 15 which pivots a lever 18 to operate a microswitch 23. The microswitch reverses a sychronous motor (24, Fig. 5, not shown). A second cam disc 16 holds the microswitch closed until the ribbon is tensioned a second time.
