Abstract
138,152. Buoyant Upholstery Co., and Savidge, E. Jan. 18, 1919. Padded upholstery, securing in position.-In the manufacture of upholstered chairs, settees, &c., the upholstery is made up of a series of stuffed pads independently made with their outer coverings securing them together to form a complete stuffed covering, which is either permanently or detachably secured to the frame of the chair &c. In the example shown, the seat and back pads A, B are either permanently or detachably secured together by their outer covers at B<1>. A<2>. Two arm pads C are similarly secured to the seat pad A. The complete pad is laid on the wire woven fabric F or other surface of the chair framing and secured either by upholstery tacks or by detachable press-buttons.
