Abstract

1381447 Press platens; joining belt ends WAGENER & CO 18 Sept 1973 [5 Oct 1972 (2)] 43634/73 Headings B5F B5A and B5K A press platen for repairing and joining conveyer belts comprises diagonally disposed struts 5 having flanges 6, 7 lying against a press plate 2 and a cover plate 3 respectively, the flanges 6 being wider than flanges 7 on at least one side of the struts, and heating tubes 4 on the wider flanges 6. The tubes may be held by clips 4 or mounted in a chamber disposed either between flange 6 and an auxiliary flange between flanges 6 and 7 or between a stepped extension of flange 6 and the plate 2.
