Abstract

1381199 Lubricating TECALEMIT SA 13 Oct 1972 [13 Oct 1971] 47413/72 Heading F2A A lubricant metering device, in a lubricating system in which supply lines are alternately pressurized, is arranged such that when one line is pressurized the metering piston acts to withdraw lubricant from the other line. As described the metering piston comprises two piston heads 1, 1<SP>1</SP> which are located in separate cylinders but have a common piston-rod. The supply lines are connected to both sides of a respective piston heads, the piston being moved by the pressure difference arising from the differing surface areas. As lubricant is ejected from one side of the measuring piston to the points of use lubricant is sucked from the unpressurized line. The device helps overcome problems inherent in the use of long lubricant supply lines.
