Abstract
1381059 Attaching handles to ceramic ware PORZELLANKOMBINAT KAHLA VEB 7 Aug 1972 36805/72 Heading C1J In a process for attaching handles to cups and the like the cups and the like and the handles are annealed separately, the handles are mechanically cut and ground and then attached by means of a bonding agent. The handles are cast, deburned and annealed in pairs, cut to size in a cutting device consisting of four adjustably arranged cutting off grinding discs, and ground at their shoulder surfaces with a grinding body whose external dimensions correspond to the shape of the cup or the like. A suitable bonding agent comprises polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, water and a ceramic glaze.
