Abstract
1380912 Radiator grills CREATORS Ltd 12 Jan 1972 [12 Jan 1971] 1556/71 Heading B7B A vehicle radiator grille comprises a strip 1, Fig. 1, of plastics material having a plurality of longitudinally extending ribs 3 or a plurality of plastics strips 11, Fig. 4, having longitudinally extending ribs 13 and connected together, by strips 16, the spaces 14 between adjacent strips defining ventilation openings. Ventilation apertures 4, Fig. 1, may be provided between adjacent ribs. The ribs 3 may be decorated by bonding to the crest surfaces a layer 5 of metal foil covered with a transparent protective layer; the layer 5 may be a strip of transparent polyester material, the rear face of which is metallized. Alternatively, the layer may be a metal plastics foil laminate comprising a strip of metal foil between layers of plastics foil. The grille may be fixed to the vehicle body by screws or other suitable fixing devices, the ends of the grille being bent rearwardly so as to be hidden behind the vehicle body. Openings may be provided for vehicle headlamps.
