Abstract

1380817 Food mixer stand N V PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN 31 Oct 1972 [3 Nov 1971] 50152/72 Heading B1C A stand 1 for a food mixer includes a base 2 which provides a support for a mixing bowl 4, a column 3 and a member 5 pivotably mounted in the column so that a mixing head 7 or holder therefor when connected to the member 5 can pivot between operative and inoperative positions defined by stops which in the embodiment shown are provided by walls 10 and 11 of the hollow column 3 and which engage extension 9 of member 5. A spring, as shown leaf spring 12, is tensioned between the column and a securing point 14 on the hinged member 5 and urges the extension 9 into engagement with the associated stop, the arrangement being bistable. A tension spring may alternatively be used. The leaf spring 12, shown is releasably attached to the column by being hooked by opening 18 onto a projection 17 on column wall 10.
