1457467 Removable cooking-ware handle VERZINKEREI ZUG AG 3 June 1974 [6 June 1973] 24431/74 Heading A4A Kitchen/tableware with at least one removable handle 4 comprises a vessel body 1 having a horizontal, external flange 2, extending around at least part of the circumference of the vessel at least part of the flange being wider than the remainder, the wider parts including at least one hole 3, the handle end portion 4a resting on the flange and having a pivotable locking device 5-7, Fig. 3, which operates with the flange and comprises a spindle 5 with a turning knob 6 at its upper end and a locking plate 7 at its lower end the distance of which from the underside of the handle resting on the flange is approximately the flange thickness and when in a first position the plate will pass through the hole in the flange and when in a second position will slide beneath the flange. The hole 3 and the locking plate 7 may be non-circular, e.g. oval, rectangular, square, triangular, the spindle 5 being arranged concentrically to the hole, or may be circular, the spindle then being arranged eccentrically to the hole. The underside of handle 4 has a projection 8 with a shoulder 9 which bears against the outer edge 10 of flange 2, enabling the locking plate 7 which is slightly smaller than the hole to pass through hole 3, and is also fitted with a boss 11 of identical shape with hole 3 and which engages hole 3, preventing the handle from sliding relative to the flange.
