Abstract

1380441 Modulation; active filters MINNESOTA MINING & MFG CO 7 Jan 1972 810/72 Headings H3R and H3U A system for amplitude modulating a frequency modulated facsimile signal includes a non-linear RC active filter. A carrier, frequency modulated with the data is applied to input 13 of the amplitude modulator and the data is also applied to the amplitude modulator on line 14 via the filter. The filter comprises a number of cascaded Sallen and Key type stages which include diodes, e.g. D1, which provide an asymmetrical response in respect of changes of data signal level in the positive and negative senses.
