Abstract

A demodulator of an angularly modulated carrier oscillation for use as optical reader of the record on a video disc can filter the signal produced without interference with the upper frequency of the modulation signal band. The signal, applied to the terminal of the differential amplifier is generated by shifting a signal in a delay line by a fixed amount; the latter is so designed that the zero passages can be defined more accurately. This is achieved by connecting the negative input by a connection to the delay line input, and the output of the delay line to the positive input.
