1379419 Perforating and cutting device PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 21 Dec 1972 59064/72 Heading B4B [Also in Division B8] After passage through a printing station 16 an upwardly moving web 17, Fig. 1, passes through a cutting device 10 which has a selectable setting for perforating the web and a similar setting for complete severance. Such an effect is obtained by causing a serrated-edged knife blade 40, Fig. 3, to move against the strip with such a motion that either the serrations pierce the strip and thereby perforate or the whole blade passes through the strip into a backing recess.
