Abstract

1379145 Brushgear ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 17 Nov 1972 [20 Nov 1971] 53113/72 Heading H2A A brush 19 is mounted in the hollow part 20b of a holder 20 by bending a resilient tongue 20d outwards such that a lug 23 on the brush may be forced into a channel 20c in the holder; on releasing the tongue and brush, a spring 22 presses the lug against the rear face of the tongue, and thereby retains the brush in position. The lug 23 may be a contact lead, as shown, or a pressed on dog (320) as described with reference to Fig. 5 (not shown). In the embodiment of Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), the brush is retained in the holder by permanently deforming two parts (120d) of the holder, e.g. by heating, after insertion of the brush. In the arrangement of Fig. 6 (not shown), a bayonet cap type fitting is used, the brush lug being retained in a U-shaped channel-(220c) after insertion of the brush.
