Abstract

1378382 Rotary cultivators ROTARY HOES Ltd 25 Sept 1972 [5 Oct 1971] 46192/71 Heading A1B A rotor for a rotary cultivator comprises a shaft 10 with, arranged helically along it, pairs of diametral apertures in which double-ended tines 14 are retained by a nut 18 screwed onto the tine with a collar 17 or another nut 18 engaging the other side of the shaft. The shaft is rotated faster than the land-wheels. The depth of working is varied by adjusting -the height of the cultivater frame on the landwheels and a rearwardly mounted soil levelling roller may be provided. The frame carries a shield that guides soil thrown from the rotor.
